Duck down a narrow cobbled lane to this charming hotel. It has a single, five doubles and a couple of suites. Decor is crisp white, with terracotta floors and, in some rooms, exposed timber beams. From the pool and gardens your gaze is drawn to heavily-perfumed orange orchards. The star room is the Sa Capelleta ('little chapel', 248.00) suite. This dreamy cream coloured Gothic love nest is unlikely to inspire holy thoughts. Soft mood music swirls around the stone walls of the ground floor, but the sight of a sea of orange trees will draw you inexorably out the back to sit in the gardens, slip into the pool or relax in the orange tree-surrounded Jacuzzi. Have an after-lunch snooze in the garden hammock, relax in the sauna or just gaze over those orchards. On colder days, huddle up in the bar and reading room. If anything, the hotel can seem even more inviting on a crisp winter day, and they usually offer discounted prices in the off-season.
