Address: 3 musala str , Varna 9000, Bulgaria
Varna's grandest and oldest hotel, the Musala Palace originally opened in 1912 and still offers a quietly refined atmosphere, polite, smiling service and an impressive choice of elegantly furnished, antique style rooms. Luxury, as they say, never goes out of style. When it opened in 1912, as the Grand Hotel London, this was the finest hotel in what soon became Bulgaria's first seaside resort, and today it retains an enviable reputation for luxury and first class service. The hotel has won numerous nationwide awards in recent years including 'best restaurant' and 'best barman'. There are only 24 rooms, but there are four types to choose from, all done out in a plush Belle Epoque style, with lots of swags, potted ferns and heavy oak furniture, and the suites are huge. Additional facilities include a small gym and spa centre while the lobby bar is a charming place to take tea or cocktails. Discounts are offered for weekend stays (Friday-Sunday).
