This hostel is well named. From a deck outside or the breakfast table inside you gaze down at the boat traffic in Tongass Narrows, the mountains beyond and float planes that are almost at eye level. Keep that in mind when you first arrive in town and realize you have to carry your luggage up five steep blocks from the bus stop at Plaza Mall. The house has dorms for men and women. There is no curfew or lockout.

Note that Ketchikan charges 13% on lodging in city and bed taxes.
