Staying at this gem of a little eight-bed hostel, set within an old half-timbered house, is like having your own little pad in Bamberg. You can cook in the kitchen filled with restored antiques and dine in the cosy common room or on the rooftop terrace, before bedding down in brightly coloured, spotless dorms. It's a five-minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof, and a 10-minute walk to the Altstadt. Definitely book ahead.
