For basic roofed accommodation, you'll do no better than the Y. It's also convenient for walks into Hell's Gate. There are two dorms and a number of Spartan bandas; firewood and bedding can be provided for a small charge. Meals are also available. It's popular with Kenyans and gets busy with school groups during holidays.
