Lonely Planet review

One of the newest games in town, opened in 2004, this has raised the bar for Fort Lauderdale luxury. Part of the Starwood's resort group, the design is bathed in rich hues of orange and brown, while spacious rooms are lighter in tone. Each has a balcony with sliding glass doors and gorgeous sea views, and the grounds have a pleasant pool and deck, private beach, spa and top-end restaurant, Trina, from NYC's Don Pintabona (of Tribeca Grill).
