Once the landmark Gran Victoria Hotel, the Madrid home of many a famous bullfighter, this audacious new hotel is fast becoming a landmark of a different kind. It's all about luxury and location and you'd be hard-pressed to find a better combination of the two.Overlooking the western end of Plaza de Santa Ana, this luxury hotel is decked out in minimalist white with curves and comfort in all the right places. The rooms are supremely comfortable and, if you've paid extra for a plaza-facing room, you'll find it difficult to tear yourself away from the window - this is one Madrid's liveliest and most agreeable plazas. No expense has been spared in fitting the rooms out with the latest technology and its downstairs bar, the Midnight Rose, is the height of softly lit sophistication and every bit as lavish and clean-lined as the rest of the hotel.
