This is a HI hostel in an amazingly beautiful 1908 log building among dense redwoods in 3600-acre Sanborn County Park, 12 miles west of San Jose. The setting is incredible, and few locals even know it exists. Bring all your food and supplies, as the nearest shops and restaurants are 4 miles away in Saratoga. From Saratoga, drive west on Hwy 9 and look for signs to Sanborn County Park. If you don't have a car, the hostel will pick you up from downtown Saratoga; call before 21:00.

With a car, from downtown San Jose, follow N 1st St north for approximately 2 miles. It's on the north side of I-880 but west of Hwy 17.
