Run by a super-friendly English-speaking family, this brand new hostel has four spacious rooms with bunks and Guatemalan bedspreads, clean shared bathrooms, large lockers, common room with cable TV and Internet access, laundry service, luggage storage, book exchange, free coffee and tea, and no curfew.

There's one private room and a nearby commercial center has an ATM, pharmacy, clinic and fast-food joints. But here's the catch: the hostel is about two grasshopper leaps from the airport, which is great for coming or going, but well away from the center. It's about 7km south of Downtown Tegus. Buses and taxis (colectivo and private) pass within steps of the hostel, so getting back and forth is easy enough, but it's not the same as having everything within walking distance.
