Lonely Planet review

Colorful bric-a-brac, including antlers and a baby grand piano, lies splayed across the shrubby lawn as though Alice in Wonderland were having a garage sale. The charismatic owners, Lloyd and Willa Jones, champion the backpacking lifestyle; in fact two of their children run hostels as well. These folks are not only kindhearted souls who care about their guests, they're also truly interesting people (ask them why their license plate says 'Borneo').

A night here is in itself an experience to be remembered. The hostel is 25km east of town.
