Soaked in south of the border flavours, this cosy B&B marinates in exquisitely relaxed vibes. Anny, the owner, pushes her mi casa es tu casa mantra to the letter and you're sure to feel right at home after a couple of days.

The three bedrooms contain gloriously wide beds with crisp white sheets and bright, bold Mexican-striped blankets. Cast iron bed heads in curlicue sun designs are original Anny designs - she had them drummed up especially. Sunlight floods the rooms through timber venetians and bounces off the polished wood floors. One room is en suite and has its own veranda. Breakfast costs a tiny bit extra, and is a help-yourself, all-you-can-eat affair, after which you can park yourself at the fat, fire-engine red lounge and sip coffee. Anny can collect you at the bus station if you're without wheels and arrange massages, surf lessons, bush walks and anything else on offer in Byron. It's a no-contest verdict; this is the friendliest B&B in town.
