Your friendly hosts Luc and Alain have an eye for details like original plaster moldings, ornate woodwork and art deco glass patterns in this splendidly renovated home from 1870. The hard wood floors and big windows make the rooms bright and cheerful. The breakfast room couldn't be more welcoming and the living room is set up with a games table and a computer for internet access. The outdoor terrace is great for lounging under the tiki torches. Prices here vary widely depending time of week and year. Each of the five rooms has its own special surprise, whether it be a private balcony or living room. It's a trade off though - if you opt for the extra large showers, be prepared to take a small TV or a shared toilet for example. If you want the biggest room with the most amenities, opt for the enormous room 2. Scandinavian design makes an appearance in room 3, and cushy sofas throughout make all rooms comfortable. The outdoor patio is great for warm days, and has a shower for those who like to be intimate with nature. There is a minimum stay of two nights during summer and (gay) holidays - such as the annual Black & Blue party.

Saunter down Ste Catherine and feast your eyes on a myriad of boutiques carrying everything from leather apparel and sex toys to antique furniture and funky lampshades. To taste Village nightlife, try Montreal's only lesbian bar, Magnolia, or Mado Caberet which has excellent drag shows.
