Lonely Planet review

In a modern tower near Ryerson Polytechnic University, this co-operative house operates as a summer hotel from early May to late August. Take advantage of great views from the rooftop sundeck and free breakfasts in the student-run café.Take your pick from private singles or doubles, but be prepared to share a kitchen, lounge and bathroom with a few others. The biggest hardship here is the lack of air-con - a problem slightly alleviated by room fans. The rest of the news is good: there is access to laundry machines, cable TV and even a sauna. Nearby Dundas Square (at the Yonge-Dundas intersection) is jumping on Friday and Saturday nights, and a good place to start if you're in the mood to party. Room rates include continental breakfast and there is limited private parking.
