A member of the Abba group, the Acteón, though not as new as some of the parvenus around the City of Arts & Sciences, is pleasantly avant garde, well-priced and extremely well-maintained. Its large bedrooms make maximum use of space.

The four-star Abba Acteón is an attractive choice implanted in a fairly unappealing part of town. Glass and marble abound, especially in the ground-floor reception and cafeteria areas. Corridors are wide and well-lit, with soft carpeting that absorbs every footfall. Rooms are large and family rooms/quads have a pair of beds that fold into the wall, releasing even more daytime living space. The hotel's three junior suites are a particular bargain with their small salon, original art work, twin bathroom sinks, large glass working table and attractive wood furnishings. Pack your racket for a knockabout in the hotel's squash court - a rarity for Spain.
