The European-style Georgian Court offers fabulous service in the center of the entertainment district. It's the kind of place where a grandfather clock chimes away in the lobby and bow-tied staff are attentive to your every need.

A recent make over for the discreet, two-decades-old Georgian Court hasn't really changed much. The subtle, mid-sized property still oozes solid, old-fashioned charm and service levels, which is why it continues to attract an older clientele. The spruced-up rooms have new carpets, curtains and flatscreen TVs to add to their granite-countered bathrooms, while exclusive BC art prints are being added to the walls. Free high-speed and wi-fi internet access is available in every room. The quiet corner suites, with their recessed bedrooms, are best but all rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Among the amenity highlights, the hotel has a redesigned whirlpool and steam room, a newly equipped compact fitness room and four eateries, including the elegant William Tell Restaurant, an old-school Vancouver favorite. There's also the pub-style Beatty Street Grill, which has a great summer patio.
