Shack up at the Dandi Royal, BA's self-proclaimed 'tango residential academy', and you'll eat, sleep and dance tango. Occupying a spectacular San Telmo mansion from the early 1900s, it boasts king size beds, claw-foot tubs, a rooftop lap pool and a dance studio.

Let's just say, heaven forbid, that you're not a tango freak. Is the Dandi Royal still worth it? Admittedly, the volume of tango paraphernalia (paintings, hats, pictures, piped music) can feel a bit over the top. But you're in the heart of San Telmo, and you definitely won't find a building like this anywhere else. All the rooms are beautifully decorated with period furniture, and the entrance and lobby are truly decadent. The wooden staircase is awe-inspiring, and the open-ceiling living room with a chandelier that dangles three storeys up might just make your jaw drop. If you're interested in tango, look no further. Beginner to advanced classes are offered throughout your stay, and tour guides will take you to the most famous tango halls and historical sites. There's also a milonga and tango show on the premises.
