Lonely Planet review

As laid back as a local on a XXXX drip, this small hostel fills its rambling walls with warmth, personality and more g'days than a Crocodile Dundee convention. The atmosphere may be casual but the accommodation is a decent cut above average. You'll need to ditch the party duds here; Travellers Oasis eschews the beer-guzzling vibe for a home away from home experience. The maximum occupancy of 50 guests keeps things to a happy, sociable hum and cliques and egos hover beyond the front yard. Small clusters of colourful dorms, cosy doubles and spotless bathrooms are scattered throughout a couple of buildings. There's not a bunk in sight, all rooms have air-con and doubles come with bath towels. A pool surrounded by palms and outdoor BBQ furniture dominates the small, central courtyard and there's the usual facilities including a tidy kitchen and laundry.
