This gorgeous casino hotel recreates Victorian opulence with its detailed craftsmanship and extensive collection of antiques. Almost as handsome is the 17-floor guestroom tower, all gussied up with tiled foyers and marble-trimmed hallways. Bright, but basic cream-colored rooms come with gilt mirrors and plantation shutters.

Throughout this lovely establishment are notable objets d'histoire, most in keeping with the turn-of-the-19th-century theme. Exquisite bronze chandeliers hang above the casino's central pit, while ornate mahogany woodwork graces the hotel registration desk and player's club. Bizarrely, a graffiti-covered chunk of the Berlin Wall now serves as one of the supports for the urinals in the gentlemen's restroom. A glassed-in pedestrian skybridge crosses over to the California casino hotel, also owned by Boyd Gaming, so you can take a dip in the Cal's rooftop pool. Just south of the casino along Main St stands the same private rail car Buffalo Bill Cody used to travel the USA with his Wild West Show from 1906 until the showman's death in 1917.
