Lonely Planet review

This well-managed and good-value hotel has well-sized rooms and is located in the bustling core of Chinatown. Clean and attractive, all rooms (most with air-con) have attached shower room and TV (VCD players can be hired). This hotel really makes an effort to bring some serenity to Chinatown's manic epicentre: Vintage Chinese posters, virtual vegetation and wonderfully hokey waterfall light boxes add colour to this always clean, well-run establishment. The better rooms (all with air-con) are higher up, but even budget rooms with a fan are none too shabby: they still have phones and other fittings, brightly coloured feature walls and views down to the street trade (some may find the noise of the Jl Petaling night market too much from the 2nd floor). Fresh towels and linen help folk survive KL's humidity. The friendly staff are prompt and willing to assist (whether via email or in person) and there's cheap Internet access in the lobby.
