This modern high-rise still looks brand-spanking new. All of the sparklingly clean suites have air-con, kitchenettes, private bathrooms, separate bedrooms, direct-dial telephones and dual-voltage outlets. The most spacious suites sleep up to five people. Rates include breakfast and all taxes.

Some say it's a shade characterless, but how can you complain at these bargain prices? For less than many hotel rooms cost, here you'll have an apartment-style suite all to yourself. The standard-issue hotel room decor comes in country colour schemes, while elegant black-and-white bathrooms have deep soaking tubs. Some of the suites are well-worn, however, and be sure to ask for one facing away from the street. A suite doble is almost 50% bigger than a suite simple, though it only costs a few dollars more. Save more money by self-catering from the nearby Santa Isabel supermarket, which vends an array of imported international foods and fresh-cooked gourmet meals to go. Then work it off in the fitness room, which opens onto a sunny terrace. Although the hotel has no business centre, there are plenty of Internet cafes on nearby streets.
