Set just west of Wangfujing Dajie, fronted at night by a bustling market, surrounded by excellent and affordable restaurants and just a short walk to the Forbidden City, it's just icing on the cake that these rooms offer solid midrange comfort and cleanliness.

This hotel has a fairly attractive Chinese facade, but the design unfortunately does not extend to the rooms. They are merely functional, which means comfy beds, small bathrooms and minimum no-nonsense furnishings. Try to get street-facing rooms which are bright and slightly larger. Inward facing rooms, while perfectly serviceable, may make you feel a little tight. Since none of the rooms have closets (just coat racks), staying organised in the smaller inward-facing rooms may be difficult. The hotel serves a good mix of western and eastern customers and the front desk staff speak some English. The hotel is however showing some wear and tear on the carpets and hallways.
