A rare find in bustling Kihei, this boutique condo lies hidden on a quiet beach. From your oceanfront lanai it's just you and the sea view. Gorgeous sunsets, passing humpback whales, a surfer catching a wave - this place is the real deal.

Perched 50 short steps from the sea, Punahoa has just 15 units. Each sports its own decor and personality but none comes up short. Even the studios offer ample room, since the queen beds are pull-downs that can be folded out of the way during the day. All the usual fittings such as cable TV, DVD, stereo and phone are here, as are full kitchens packed with little extras. Free high-speed Internet is another bonus. Only the penthouse unit has air-con, but ceiling fans and louvered windows will handle the heat except on rare days when trade winds die. Every unit has a clear ocean view that would be the envy of any big-buck resort. There's no pool, but who needs it - just walk across the lawn to your own little beach and snorkel with turtles. The place does book solid, so reserve early.
