Over five years in the business (practically ancient in BA's blossoming hostel scene), Milhouse has had plenty of time to polish its act. And it's done just that. From the enthusiastic staff members that bolt around in HI-tagged threads to the 150 spotless rooms, Milhouse is on the ball.Notorious for its party atmosphere, this hostel occupies a fine 19th-century four-storey house. Handsome bedroom doors open onto a central atrium. The dorm rooms are clean and comfortable, but the real surprise is the private rooms; all 13 of these beauties have ensuites, polished wood floors, excellent beds and antique furniture. In other words, they're far better than most low-budget hotels. Some even have TVs. When it comes to activities - whoa! - no curbed enthusiasm here. From salsa and tango dancing to soccer matches and parties, there's something every day of the week. On weekends, the staff take guests by minivan to BA's hottest nightclubs, even kicking down VIP passes for many of the clubs. It's sort of a hostel on steroids, and despite its size, everything is kept spotless and runs smoothly. And when they fill up, a nearby annex (also in an old renovated building) is available.
