What luck to have such a friendly and clean hostel right in the heart of downtown. This HI hostel in a fine historic house, has a laid-back fun vibe and a spacious common kitchen. The 75 beds and handfull of private rooms fill up quickly during the summer, so reserve ahead.

This is a great place to meet up with other travelers - there are organised meals (like cheap pancake breakfasts and BBQs) and activities organised by the staff. The actual dorm rooms are characterless caves of sleeping bodies and the bathrooms are busy, busy, busy. The charm lies upstairs in the bright kitchen-dining area that overlooks the street and is a pleasant place for socialising. This is a big place so it's advisable to watch your valuables - luckily the staff offer some alternative storage options to just leaving your bag under your bed. This central location can't be beat and is easy access to train and bus stops as well as an airport shuttle drop off.
