A sumptuous, yet practical option, this place sets the standard for Tahitian luxury. If you only have a night or two on Tahiti, staying here is worth a splurge. If your visit is longer and you can afford it, this should be your first choice for business or pleasure.You could easily waste a day beside the exceptional white sand, saltwater infinity pool that disappears across the horizon. Have a cocktail while you swim and enjoy the sunset. The flower-filled gardens border the classic, Polynesian-style luxury bungalows while rooms have all the bamboo woven, teak-lined bells and whistles. On Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant serves up one of the finest and most complete Tahitian buffets you will find anywhere and the dance performances are so well respected that they are frequented by locals as often as tourists. The service is better than the standard in Tahiti but still gets a little squeaky sometimes and rooms facing the airport can receive noise from landings and departures.
