A superb converted warehouse in the middle of uni-land is one of the city's best hostels. This is the most pleasant neighbourhood in town, close to all of the action and virtually next door to the university.

There's something about Victorian warehouses that make them great conversions, and this wonderful hostel is no different. Inside, the atmosphere is easygoing and pleasant, and the variously sized dorms (which sleep from four to 10 people) are clean, neat and come with nice wooden bunks, heating and an en suite. There are also a couple of twin rooms for those seeking a bit of privacy. Facilities include a lounge (with a pool table, fussball and TV), baggage storage, laundry facilities and a 24-hour front desk. Best of all, there's no ridiculous curfew. There's an Internet cafe attached which also does sandwiches and coffees.
