Absolutely brilliant budget hotel with spotlessly clean rooms and nice touches like exposed brick walls that just add charm to a place that feels anything but a generic chain hotel. Its location on Albert Dock next door to the Beatles Story just can't be beat.

Generally speaking, chain hotels are to be avoided - they lack the charm and grace of singularly owned properties. Premier Travel Inns are generic chain hotels, but they feel like lovely little homes - the rooms (all of them exactly the same) are pristine, with a nice hard bed, desk, armchair and wardrobe, extra pillows and a TV. The decor is a uniform mix of purple and white - the hotel's brand colours. The bathrooms are small and immaculate, with a bath, shower and a few basic toiletries. But what is it that makes this place so great? It's the little touches, like the exposed brick walls and the plants. It's the terrific staff, who are not only super-friendly but incredibly accommodating and always willing to help out with pretty much anything. And it's the location, on trendy Albert Dock and directly next door to the city's most popular museum.
