The brand-new Buenavista Inn sits in a seaside suburb near the airport. It's an efficient, securely enclosed operation, with a dozen bright, simply furnished rooms that include wi-fi and 110 cable channels. Ocean breezes caress a lovely attached veranda. In some ways it's the ultimate airport lodging: neutrally comfortable, cordially managed, relatively inexpensive - and a quick hop to the terminal. It's located on the east edge of Catia La Mar, near Playa Grande, a sort of no-man's-land above a cluster of sterile condos. The place has a just-unwrapped feeling - though short on character, it exudes an air of comfort and efficiency, and staff display an unusually professional attitude. Decent-sized rooms have remote-controlled air-con and quality beds with attractive linen, complemented by bright tones; units 203 to 206 afford the best sea views. In the lovely side veranda, plants and hammock chairs hang above checkerboard tiled floors. Plans are afoot to add another 20 rooms and a restaurant. In the meantime, you can try the sushi bar or tavern around the corner.
