This eco-conscious, low-rise lodging is a convivial place and the complimentary breakfast buffet has macrobiotic selections. Seems a little odd for a green hotel to be opposite a shopping mall. At least you can assuage your guilt if you over spend.

More than 20% of the hotel's energy comes from on-site solar panels. Window tinting, radiant barriers and low-flow water heads are just some of the other ways they endeavour to reduce resource usage on site. But far from being sterile or scientific, suites are actually quite homey. Like two-room flats with small kitchens. Windows open, wood-burning fireplaces work. Of course all rooms are cleaned with non-toxic, natural cleansers. Outside, indigenous Texas flowers and shrubs around the courtyard pool require less water than non-native plantings. And lady bugs help police the bug population instead of pesticides. Now don't you feel good about your choice?
