Recently renovated, all the suites here are clean, fresh and new. You needn't stray far to get your fix of flora: the property itself includes one of the lushest gardens on the island.
The Island City House Hotel is actually three houses, connected by brick walkways that wind through lush, mature gardens. The first is the Island City House, a striking Victorian mansion with three floors and impossibly deep, wraparound porches. Off the street, the red cypress Cigar House sits poolside and is decorated in a tropical plantation style. These large one-bedroom suites all have hammocks on their porch or balcony - all the better to enjoy the surrounding greenery. Finally, there's the Arch House, which used to be the carriage house. These suites are decorated in a more casual, Caribbean style. No matter which house you're in, you'll never go hungry: all suites include fully equipped kitchens, as well as a continental breakfast each morning.
