The style of the Calla Lily's nine intimate rooms is more 'Tommy Bahama' than 'Palm Springs Weekend' - the rattan, floral prints, clay tile floors and silk bed covers, while still fashionable, provide a fine counterpoint to other nearby inns.

Each room is different, and the rate you pay varies by whether yours has a kitchen, living room, private patio, etc. All rooms have access to the pool and hot tub with dead-on views of the San Jacinto Mountains, as well as wireless Internet. Built in the 50s, the inn is a block from downtown Palm Springs' main drag, with its shops, restaurants and nightlife. Plus, your hosts are former music industry types, with their finger keenly on the local beat. Breakfast is not included, but evening cordials are. Adult guests preferred. Ask about special package deals.
