The once grand Moore Hotel offers 135 bedrooms, small and not fancy but refurbished with an understated elegance. The turn-of-the-20th-century lobby, with its molded ceiling and marble accoutrements, speaks of the building's long history, which is echoed in the better rooms (ask for one with a view of the Sound). Don't miss the great little lounge next door, the Nitelite, whose clientele are a mix of young hipsters and regulars at least as old as the hotel. There's free internet in the lobby.
