If you want to take in all the summer activities and outdoor concerts at Parc Jean-Drapeau but don't want to slog back and forth over the bridge everyday you couldn't ask for a better location than this. The only downside is the lack of facilities in the park. Though the hostel has a small cafeteria on site where you can buy a continental breakfast or snacks, there are no restaurants, grocery stores or other amenities on the islands. Rooms here are clean but very plain and stark and will likely appeal more to younger travelers. Women's showers are private, and men's showers are communal. Parc Jean-Drapeau hosts all kinds of sports competitions in summer and many of the out-of-town teams end up booking here so reservations are essential.
