For a homey stay with a tango twist, consider this humble spot. It's best for those bitten by the tango bug and not in need of fancy atmosphere - the Mansion Dandi Royal, around the corner - exists for that.

If you're serious about tango, consider this simple and homey place. Just five no-nonsense but comfortable rooms are available, each with its own bathroom. The largest suite overlooks the patio, and conveniently enough there's also a kitchen for guests to use. A casual inside courtyard doubles as tango salon when the weather is good, but is also handy for casual relaxation, with a hanging hammock chair and ubiquitous asado (barbeque). Another common area is upstairs, good for tango lessons when it's raining. Plenty of tango information, from events to milongas to shows, is also on tap - great for those who want to immerse themselves in the dance. There's no sign outside, so be sure to call ahead - you should reserve anyway.
