Its painted brick exterior and flowery window boxes makes this the prettiest heritage hotel in the area. But if real beauty starts from within then the carefully renovated Victorian doesn't disappoint.

Among the clutch of older heritage hotels in the downtown core, the Victorian stands head and shoulders above the competition. Its central skylight, brightly re-painted interiors and glossy hardwood floors illuminate the building's interior, which houses a liberal sprinkling of antiques in its corridors and cosy, clean and well-maintained rooms. Most rooms are en suite with antique furnishings, summer fans, TVs and robes provided as standard - some also have bay windows where you can sit and contemplate the world. The best rooms are in the recently opened extension, where the brand new bathrooms are marble floored. The front desk staff are warm and accommodating and can offer French, Spanish and Czech languages. Continental breakfast is included along with free in-room high-speed Internet access and they'll even rent you a bike for 15.00 per day.
