A cosy pension in a quiet neighbourhood, Kraml is family-run (three generations no less) and from the old school of hospitality, where politeness is paramount and the comfort of guests a top priority.Upon entering, the owners greet you with a courteous nod and a pleasant smile. In fact, they have such an air of decorum about them that should the pension close down, they could easily find gainful employment as servants to one royal family or another. Rooms are surprisingly large, easily accommodating twin beds, bedside tables and a solid wardrobe, while leaving plenty of room for a close waltz. Some have attached entranceways big enough for a bit of breakdancing (the polished-wood floors are just too inviting). Furniture and fittings, including those in the bathroom, are a little dated but by no means past their use-by dates. As pensions go Kraml is quite small, so it's advisable to book ahead during the high season.
