Near the Entertainment District, this dazzling white Holiday Inn is just steps from the Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales Theatres. The rooftop pool and sundeck, with its spectacular view of the CN Tower, is bliss on a summer's day. Some standard rooms enjoy lake views, while others gaze over the city. Rooms come with king, queen or double-queen beds, and there are also one-bedroom suites. The large TVs offer in-room movies, digital music and Internet; a PlayStation provides hours of entertainment. Internet access is available for a fee. Children under 12 eat free when accompanied by a parent and teenagers up to 19 stay for free in their parents' room. Taste classic Canadian cuisine downstairs in the restaurant where the dinner menu features Alberta's Best — a gargantuan 14 oz rib steak — and the Bay of Fundy Salmon, baked on a cedar shake and decorated with garlic and lemon.
