The Park Hyatt has an impressive circular drive with fountains. Although slightly removed from nightlife hot spot0s like Little Italy or 'clubland' (between King and Queen St W), nearby Bloor St is cloud nine for high-end shoppers. You'll be drawn to the rooftop lounge, a perfect place to unwind after a gruelling day of heavy spending.

Elegant cherry wood paneling and subtle lighting in the lobby set the scene. Being a well-known chain, the service is predictably aloof, yet efficient. Stillwater spa, the hotel's aquatic oasis, makes an already excellent hotel better, providing indulgent body treatments, massages and spa-inspired lunches. Most rooms have king beds or two doubles and are bathed in calming forest greens and taupes. High-speed Internet access is free for everyone and business travellers will find state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and computer systems handy for meetings and conferences. The Annona restaurant, run by Joan Monfaredi, a veteran of the culinary arts, has interesting tiling and great views. Cuisine is best described as 'classic international'. The bar is cosy with a brick fireplace and oversized sofas, and the views out over downtown rival the very best of Toronto's rooftop lounges.
