New York-New York's urbane rooms are freshly remodelled with black marble-topped bathroom sinks and comfy beds. The cheapest rooms are rather tiny (just what one would expect in NYC), but if you pay more for a Broadway or Park Avenue Deluxe, you'll have plenty of room to breathe.

Give me your tired, huddled (over a Wheel of Fortune slot machine) masses. This mini metropolis features jaw-dropping replicas of the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. Design elements throughout the property reflect the history, color and diversity of 'Nu Yawk'. The attention to detail is remarkable, down to the whiffs of steam rising from faux manhole covers near the Chrysler elevator. Surprisingly excellent eateries hide behind facades stolen from Park Avenue, Greenwich Village and Times Square. The workout room in the spa has treadmills overlooking the pool area (which is sub-par, but nevertheless wired for sound). Claustrophobes beware: this Disneyfied version of the Big Apple can get even more crowded than the real deal. Avoid the noisy lower-level rooms facing the bumpy Coney Island-style roller coaster, which wraps around the resort's exterior facade.
