Lonely Planet review

This well managed and good-value hotel really makes an effort to bring some serenity to Chinatown's manic epicentre. Its decent-sized rooms, are all clean and attractive, with air-con, attached bathroom and TV (VCD players can be hired for RM30).

Gold-framed art prints and fake plants add colour to the bustling lobby of this pristine establishment. The better rooms are higher up, but even budget rooms with a fan and no windows are none too shabby: they still have phones and other fittings, and brightly coloured feature walls. Having a view over the street trade may be attractive to some but note the noise of the Jln Petaling night market can be too much from the 2nd floor. Fresh towels and linen help folk survive KL's humidity. The friendly staff are prompt and willing to assist and there's cheap internet access in the lobby.
