Eat in the sunroom, the easy-going dining room or out in the small garden at this comfortable and friendly backpackers in a quiet backstreet. Linen and towels aren't provided but can be hired for a small fee.

In one of Parnell's numerous back lanes, this unassuming place offers decent facilities at a bargain price. At the top of the hill, dozens of swanky cafes and bars beckon to those pennies you've saved on your room. It's also a short but hilly walk to the city centre. The building has a slightly institutional feel but the staff are friendly and dispel any formality leeching from the surrounds. You can spill out into the garden on a sunny day or bunker down in the TV lounge when skies turn gloomy.
