Not quite as central as some other hostels, and in need of a fresh layer of paint in places, this place is nonetheless worth a look as it's just minutes from the BRT, set off a pleasant wide boulevard, and offers dirt cheap (but clean) dorm and private accommodation.

Each dorm room is set up with simple bunk beds, lockers (bring your own lock) and - a nice touch - a private bathroom. That means you only share a shower with your roomies and not the entire floor. The common room is small, and there's no restaurant, so you don't get the same opportunity to really mingle as in other places. On the up side, it is easy to forget that you are living with a hundred other people in close quarters. Double and triple rooms have simple beds, wooden floors, TVs and private baths. They are entirely frill-less, but well maintained, and offer a better value than many rooms in Beijing twice that price. As with most hostels in the city, the Feiying has kitchen and laundry facilities, Internet, bicycles and a tourist centre. Cheap restaurants and cafes line the nearby streets.
