This private home is the only place to stay on the quiet back streets of Beacon Hill, allowing travelers to sample residential life in this historic neighborhood. The two rooms are sumptuous and stylish, filled with antiques, ornamental fireplaces and oriental rugs (as befits this Victorian brownstone). Breakfast is served in the posh parlor downstairs. The owner manages the place herself, so you can't expect all the amenities of a full-service hotel. But you can expect the warmest of welcomes, especially from the two delightful resident dogs.
