Lonely Planet Review
The bigger rooms (around 2500.00) in this intimate, somewhat kitschy love hotel not only have a Jacuzzi in the bathroom but a two-person wood sauna, as well. They've also got vibrating beds and massage chairs, but don't worry, the atmosphere here is very middle-class. It wouldn't make your granny blush.
Love hotels have been making a splash lately as a great alternative to bland mid-range hotels. This is not the most stylish one we've seen but it's easily the best in this price range. Interior furnishings can be a touch frilly (they call it Baroque), but they don't go overboard. All rooms are worth the price but there is a fair variety in design and amenities so look around before you choose. Some have rounded beds, some square (they all vibrate). Some face busy Fuxing Rd, some a quiet park. But only two have saunas and you'd better book ahead if you want one of these in your room. Our only complaint is that, while the hotel is in general spotless and well maintained, a few sheets had cigarette holes in them.

Author Tip
There's great brand name shopping at Breeze Centre and Sogo, but for quirky boutiques check out the narrow alleys between the two. If possible head to the Jianguo weekend jade and flower markets. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall often holds art exhibitions and Chinese opera performances. Afternoons are well spent on the lovely trails at the Songshan Nature Reserve.
