Lonely Planet Review

Quotes Right at the heart of the city and above a lively bar, this modern, well-run hostel is ideally located but not the quietest place in town. However, if you bring your earplugs or are planning your own late-night party, it's an unbeatable option.

The bright, spacious dorms here sleep between four and 12 people and if you can it's worth bagging a bed in a smaller, quieter room. Furniture and fittings are new throughout, with good bunk beds, crisp linen, individual lockers and swipe keycards on every room. The bathrooms, although not en suite, are clean and modern but there's really not enough of them and you may end up having to queue in the morning rush. Although there's no guest kitchen, the bar downstairs serves cheap meals and the dorm price includes a basic continental breakfast in the morning. There's a chilled lounge area with Internet access, late night music if you want to join the party, and the best Bath has to offer right on your doorstep. At these rates it's one of the top hostel options in town.

Do the major sights, join a Bizarre Bath walking tour, wander over to the Jane Austen Centre for an insight in the life of Bath's most famous resident and then finish the day with a pint at the Old Green Tree, one of the city's smallest pubs.
