Rooms at the Apollo are fairly basic, but if you're just looking for a cheap bed for the night, you'll have few complaints. The location is conveniently central which makes up for the small, boxy rooms.

As with most of the budget hotels in Colaba, the rooms at the Apollo would seem expensive elsewhere in India, but prices here aren't bad for this part of Mumbai. The entrance to the hotel is hidden behind a shoe stand on Colaba Causeway (it's in the same building as the posher Hotel Causeway). Don't expect too many luxuries - rooms at the Apollo have two small single beds, a ceiling fan and a table for your bags - but the shared showers and toilets are clean and the tiled floors are swept regularly. You have a choice of shared or private bathrooms and a few rooms have air-conditioners.
