You're right in the heart of the action at this popular hostel. Sleep could be a problem if you have a room at the front - bring earplugs because Carrer de Ferran is one of Barri Gòtic's busiest streets. But the location is otherwise perfect, with the best of Barcelona right outside your door.

The higher you go in the building, the less noise and more light there is, but the rooms on the top floor are smaller than those below. For anything less than a week, there are plenty of rooms that are big enough, and those facing the street have great views of a church and the passing parade of people. The balconies are larger on the lower floors. All the rooms are well-kept and modern and come with the added bonus of air-con and very good bathrooms. Dorms are a cheaper option. There's a lot of coming and going here, but the security cameras in every corridor and the attentive staff will ensure you feel safe. There's a kitchen for use by guests, satellite TV and safety lockers for storing your valuables. The lobby is all exposed stonework and warm terracotta hues which adds to the style.
