Lonely Planet Review
This hotel offers generous rooms and an elegant atmosphere with excellent Nile or Citadel views. The emphasis here is relaxation, with a great spa, several swimming pools and stylish restaurants making this a wonderful address to retire to after the hassle and hustle of Cairo's streets and sights.
The hotel is contemporary, but still retains those Four Seasons touches such as fresh flowers, original art and rich fabrics everywhere. While the standard rooms are excellent, you have to move past the 'superior' and 'deluxe' rooms up to the 'Nile view' rooms if you crave the water views. All the rooms have a features list as long as the Nile and come with the Four Seasons' signature spacious marble bathrooms. Hotel windows are triple-glazed, making the rooms almost spookily quiet. With children's menus, video games, plenty of leisure facilities and even cute kid-sized bath robes, it's a great choice for families.

Author Tip
While most guests of the Four Seasons will be taking taxis or limos everywhere, it's actually a great area for a wander. You can take a walk along the Corniche (great at sunset or in the early morning), or explore the Garden City area with its palatial mansions. Eating in after a long day is no shame, as the restaurants are of a uniformly high standard.
