Amitee's is Ponsonby's most stylish newcomer and has already made quite an impression on guests, with many of them deciding to stay a little bit longer than planned. The B&B lies inside a large modern home finished in 2004 and has a good backyard and guest parking.

The inside is sleek and comfortable, with the penthouse suite (which is in the top-end price range and is probably more accurately described as a swanky attic) providing a real home away from home experience, and the bathroom views are among the building's best. King rooms have access to the garden round the back, making them a great choice in the summer months (and quieter than the rest of the building), but the doubles and twins are very good choices too, and have stunning, shiny bathrooms, superb beds and enough scatter cushions to provide soft landings for all the stuntmen who ever lived. A lovely shared lounge/kitchen area has internet access, a big TV and a selection of DVDs.
