This hostel-hotel-apartment complex offers a bit of everything in an attractive turreted stone mansion. Location is the main draw here: it's in a quiet spot along Sherbrooke Ouest between St Denis and LaFontaine Park.

Dorm rooms in the basement hostel can be cramped and noisy, which can occasionally affect hotel guests on the floor above. Each hotel room has a private bathroom, cable TV, telephone and air-con. Many of the pricier rooms charm with canopy beds, wooden floors or bay windows. For larger groups, it's good to know that some suites in the hotel can accommodate up to six people and have full kitchens. There is a little bistro on the premises with a patio overlooking the beautiful buildings of Sherbrooke, though you're only two blocks away from snazzier sidewalk cafes on St Denis and Quartier Latin. In another building across the street, one to three bedroom apartments are rented by the week with amenities similar to those in the hotel. Parking for hostel guests is free, for those staying in the hotel or apartments a space indoors costs 8.00.
